Decisions about our health are too important to be left to policymakers alone! From grassroots neighborhood activities, to letting your Congress person know your family needs, to volunteering at a local school, to becoming a be well Block Captain, you can make a difference.
Our community is only as healthy as we make it – so get involved! The be well Health Policy and Advocacy project educates residents on the various policies that impact the “health” of their communities and mobilizes them to advocate for systematic changes that allow for healthier living environments. By providing training and technical assistance in the areas of public policy and advocacy, residents are better equipped to support good health policy and address issues that undermine their ability to lead healthy lives.
